Complimentary Workshops – Feb 3, Vancouver & Feb 9, Victoria

Come meet Kwela!  Our complimentary workshops are designed to help HR and management professionals experience Kwela program content and learn more about the areas we can assist in.

The sessions in downtown Vancouver Wednesday, February 3rd are:

  • Session 1: 8:30 – 10:15am, Leadership Development Best Practices – Join us to learn how to build an effective leadership development program for your organization and understand how results can be achieved through measurement.
  • Session 2:  10:30am – 12pm, How to Make Mentoring Programs Work – Learn how this powerful relationship can develop the leadership potential of both mentors and protégés. Mentoring programs promote a culture of shared learning, improved communication, reduced hierarchy and increased trust at all levels.
  • Session 3:  1:00 – 2:45pm, Presentation Skills – Learn how to overcome fear, engage any audience and make points that motivate and inspire others by improving your ability to communicate.
  • Session 4:  3:00 – 4:15pm, Facilitated Peer Coaching – Combines the benefits of working with a trained coach with those of soliciting ideas from people who work in the same organization. Learn how to use a specific technique to maximize idea generation and accountability, while being time and cost-effective.

The sessions near downtown Victoria on February 9th are:

  • Session 1: 10:30am – 12:30pm, Coaching for Performance – Experience first-hand how your leaders can improve their skills for coaching and developing their teams.  Learn how Managers can help employees understand what they are passionate about, and then how to sculpt jobs that play to those strengths.
  • Session 2: 1:30 – 3:30pm, Influencing Skills – Discover how leaders at all levels can learn how to overcome resistance to change by adapting ideas to others’ hot buttons – appealing to both logic and emotion, and by using effective structure to pitch new ideas.
