Peer Coaching Circles
Peer coaching circles are an effective way to achieve skill development and problem resolution in an environment that promotes high levels of camaraderie and accountability. It is a “meeting of equals” where peers collaborate to help each other with leadership challenges that they face.
We use a structured process consisting of:
- Surfacing of challenges
- Inquiry to promote understanding of context and root causes
- Brainstorming to create a wide variety of possible actions
- Creation and sharing of action plans
Peer coaching circles can be used either standalone or as a component of leadership development programs. For best results we recommend that they be initially facilitated by a Kwela coach, who is also able to introduce leadership and organizational tools that the group may not be aware of.
Although sessions are best done in person, sessions can be done via teleconference for groups that are geographically dispersed.
